The Shaping Process (and a Little Glassing)

Continuing on last week's vegetable theme, here's a freshly shaped summer squash for Chris..

Fins...We Love em.. Not many folks know this but we lay up the panels, cut them out foil them and glass them on, in house, at Lineup HQ!

Toxic Carrot in The Glassing Room

Here's Some Shots of Grant's New Summer Log that we are calling the Toxic Carrot. This design is the combination of a classic outline with some happy accidents created by heat and time (to create a unique and functional design) :

Grant and I going over the fine details

Bottom - Double channel concave from nose to tail with 50/50 pontoon rails

Deck - Pre-tint. There are also a few shaped in details for function hiding in the whiteness..

Inspiration can come from the weirdest places...A beat up old log modified by heat, abuse and time..

Made for loggin' and not for glassy tubes.

Wild N' Dusty Places

One of the things I enjoy most about Lineup HQ are all the things that live around this wild patch in the middle of the urban sprawl of Huntington Beach.. Spring Brings new neighbors:
